Centrally located in downtown Concord, NH, the co-op describes itself as a democratic grocery store, bakery, and café collectively owned by customers. Today, we are a farm market that specializes in local produce, pasture-raised local meats, fresh cage free eggs and raw milk among so much more.In Concord, we stop at the Concord Food Co-op. Through the years, we valued our customer needs and brought in products that were important to them. The shed in Pembroke closed at the end of 2009 and in August in 2010, Johnson Golden Harvest was blessed to open their newest location in Hooksett, NH. After operating out of the shed for a few months, it became apparent that God had a different plan in mind. Our plan was such that this would get us through the cold months and we could construct something else there in the spring. Either we stay closed for the season or come up with a small shelter and stay open all winter.Īfter pulling and old shed out of the woods and covering it with a coat of paint and a touch of love, we turned on the heat and were ready for old man winter. As the colder weather approached, we had to make a choice.

What a blessing it is to be able to provide healthy food to people as well as give farmers a place to market their products locally. It took only a few weeks to realize how much we truly loved our new concept. Johnson Golden Harvest started with a tent and a dream in Pembroke, NH in August of 2009! We started with produce from one local farm and soon had five or six local growers involved.
